Nevada Check Up is the State of Nevada’s Children’s Health Insurance Program. It provides low-cost, comprehensive health care coverage to low income, uninsured children 0 through 18 years of age who are not covered by private insurance or Medicaid.

The Child Health Assurance Program (CHAP) provides Medicaid coverage to pregnant women and children under age six, including unborn children who meet income guidelines.

Women’s Health Connection (WHC)

Women’s Health Connect is for women 40 years of age who do not have health insurance, Medicaid, Medicare Part B, HMO coverage or whose health insurance coverage does not pay for preventive services. Women also need to meet income guidelines to qualify.

Nevada Check Up Plus

This program helps defray the increasing cost of private medical insurance for parents that work for small employers. The waiver provides up to a $100 per month, per parent (maximum of $200 per family) to help offset the cost of the medical insurance premium payment.

AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP)

ADAP is one benefit of the Ryan White Part B program. ADAP helps provide medication to low-income individuals with HIV disease, who have limited or no private insurance coverage or Nevada Medicaid. You must meet certain requirements to qualify.

SHIP provides information, counseling and assistance to Medicare Beneficiaries in Nevada. Services are offered by a statewide network of volunteers. SHIP Volunteers offer FREE one-on-one assistance and counseling dealing with the many problems seniors encounter regarding Medicare, supplemental health insurance and long-term care options.
